Hello To All:

I live in California and am grateful to report that my home is still standing and I am safe and sound. It has been a rough couple of weeks with terrible weather, fire, and in my case a water leak in my condo. I was so worried about the fires I had great difficulty sleeping, always wanting to keep tabs on where the fire was in my area. It didn’t come closer than 10 miles, but with the high Santa Ana winds we were having, it was way too close for comfort.

My sister lives in Jamul, California, and had to evacuate for a solid week. The fire came within two miles of her home. She and her family are safe; their house is still standing. The fire department took a stand right at the end of her driveway (it’s a very rural area) in case of wind change. Fortunately, everything turned out well for all of us. I thank all who kept me in their prayers.

I had a problem with water leaking into my condo from a neighbor’s hot water pipe. The living room was affected; and due to the loud industrial fans running for days on end, I was unable to tolerate working in my office. The dull roar is gone now. I believe everything will be okay now. The insurance adjuster will be coming tomorrow to assess how much damage and what needs to be repaired/replaced.

I am blessed to have so many people ask how I am doing. I am doing well and will begin posting again tomorrow. God bless you all, and thanks again!
